ABOUT THE CRA
The Community Recreation Association (CRA) is dedicated to providing recreational opportunities for the community, fostering a sense of unity and promoting healthy lifestyles. The association offers funding for various youth programs and events.
How it Works
Coaches, team leaders, or group participants are asked to submit a funding request application for their specific needs. Applications will be reviewed and awarded on a monthly or quarterly basis, depending on the need. All applications will receive notification of acceptance or denial within a specified time frame.
More than one application may be submitted each year, however, you will not be awarded more than one donation every year.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
If you would like to make a donation, please email communityrec@gmail.com. Persons who join the CRA with a one-time membership fee of $5.00 primarily fund the CRA. By becoming a member of the CRA you are also eligible for membership in Cyprus Credit Union.
CRA's History
The Community Recreation Association (CRA) was originally organized on April 2, 1942 by a group of Kennecott employees, the CRA donated uniforms and equipment to Magna little leagues and hosted numerous community events.
In 1978 the CRA was added to Cyprus Credit Union's field of membership. Today, the Community Recreation Association's volunteer Board of Directors regularly grants donation requests to little leagues, recreation centers, theater and dance groups, and community events.
